From Sunday 6th April we begin a six-month period of reflection about money that will conclude at our Harvest services on 28th September. During this time there will be sermons, reflections and talks on all aspects of money, information will be distributed about how you can support the parish with your money and there will be some celebratory events. It is hoped that by September many will have a better understanding of how God wants us to use our money as Church and as individuals. From October onwards we shall focus on Time and Talents, how we can more productively use our time and personal & community gifts.
Tell us your good experiences of church
As part of our reflections about money during the coming months the Stewardship Group would like as many people as possible to share their good and positive experiences of the church in Hednesford. Think back over the past five years or so. What have been the good things that the churches have done, what has helped you, what have we done that has befitted our communities? We are asking this to show people where their money is going. When people give money to the church some might ask, “What good is it doing?” well, tell us. In recognising and celebrating the good that we do we hope that people will be encouraged in their giving to the church. When others in our communities are told of the good that our churches are doing they might be encouraged more to support us.
The current members of the Stewardship group are – David Buck, Pam Cooper, Christine Tranter & Gill Hardy. Please contact them or any member of the PCC who will pass on your information to the Stewardship Group members. If you prefer you can write to or telephone the vicar (David) - contact details on page 1 of the magazine or on the website.
